The BD Life Sciences segment is dedicated to diagnostics and research. It supplies essential products for specimen and blood collection, along with advanced diagnostic systems covering automated blood and tuberculosis culturing, molecular testing, microorganism identification, drug susceptibility analysis, and liquid-based cytology. Furthermore, this segment provides rapid diagnostic assays, microbiology automation tools, and plated media. For cellular research and specialized clinical diagnostics, it offers fluorescence-activated cell sorters and analyzers, antibodies, reagent kits, and solutions for single-cell gene expression, oncology, immunology, and transplantation monitoring. BD Interventional provides a comprehensive portfolio for surgical and specialized interventional procedures. This encompasses products for hernia and soft tissue repair, a variety of biological and bioresorbable grafts, and biosurgery solutions. The segment also offers tools for surgical infection prevention, surgical and laparoscopic instrumentation, products for peripheral vascular intervention, and essential urology and critical care items. Established in 1897, the company maintains its headquarters in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey.
