Operating through its various subsidiaries, the company serves a diverse clientele of commercial businesses and government agencies across a vast international footprint, including the United States, Canada, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Mexico. The organization adopted its current name, US Ecology, Inc., in February 2010, having previously operated as American Ecology Corporation. Its operations are structured into three primary divisions: Waste Solutions, Field Services, and Energy Waste. The Waste Solutions segment specializes in the comprehensive management of diverse waste streams, such as hazardous, non-hazardous, and other specialized industrial refuse. Services within this division cover the entire lifecycle of waste, from treatment, safe disposal, and beneficial re-use to recycling, all conducted at the company's proprietary treatment, storage, and disposal facilities. Additionally, it provides essential wastewater treatment services. Within its Field Services segment, US Ecology delivers critical logistical support and rapid response capabilities. This encompasses end-to-end specialty waste management, including packaging, collection, and transportation, as well as full-scale emergency response operations for both land-based and marine incidents. Key offerings here include compliance services for Oil Spill Removal Organizations (OSROs), environmental remediation, and a range of general industrial support. The Energy Waste segment caters specifically to upstream oil and gas clients, providing essential waste management and critical operational support. Its offerings include immediate spill containment and site cleanup, comprehensive equipment cleaning and maintenance, rental of specialized gear such as tanks, pumps, and containment units, robust safety monitoring and management programs, and reliable transportation and disposal solutions. The company's diverse customer base primarily comprises major industrial players such as oil refineries, chemical manufacturing facilities, and steel mills. Furthermore, it partners with waste brokers and aggregators to extend its services to smaller manufacturers and other industrial clients.
