This index is designed to track prominent partnerships, all of which are listed on major U.S. stock exchanges and are categorized under the Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS) within the Energy Sector or Gas Utilities Industry. Its components include both Master Limited Partnerships (MLPs) and publicly traded Limited Liability Companies (LLCs) that possess a comparable legal framework and identical tax benefits to MLPs. The calculation, administration, and dissemination of this index are performed by S&P Dow Jones Indices LLC.
