Nuverra Environmental Solutions, Inc. (NES) is a specialized service provider supporting the United States' shale oil and natural gas sector. The company offers critical water management solutions, including transfer and disposal, alongside various other essential oilfield services and equipment rentals. These offerings are vital throughout the entire lifecycle of shale operations, from initial drilling and completion phases to ongoing production activities. NES organizes its operations into three distinct regional divisions: the Rocky Mountain, Northeast, and Southern. Each division maintains its own fleet of trucks, manages a network of salt water disposal wells (branded differently across regions, such as Landtech, Nuverra, Heckmann, and Clearwater), and offers diverse rental equipment (such as tanks, winch trucks, loaders, manlifts, and light towers) tailored to local operational needs. The Southern Division notably includes a 60-mile underground twin pipeline network, while the Rocky Mountain Division also provides oilfield labor services. Originally incorporated in 2007 as Heckmann Corporation, the company rebranded as Nuverra Environmental Solutions, Inc. in May 2013. Headquartered in Houston, Texas, NES became a subsidiary of Select Energy Services, Inc. on February 23, 2022.
